Does Affilo Blueprint 2.0 Meet The Hype?

Today, I was very excited to get my hands on the new AffiloBlueprint 2.0 course that opened up today.  AffiloBlueprint was developed super affiliate guru Mark Ling and is a complete guide to creating affiliate websites that earn $50-$500 a week.  The steps are completely reproducible, so once you've mastered the "blueprint", you can keep generating more and more of these money making websites.  Although I wasn't a part of the original Affilo Blueprint launch, I am a big fan of Traffic Travis, one of the excellent tools that Mark Ling developed.  It is one of the tools I use every day to improve my sites.

What Is Affilo Blueprint?

AffiloBlueprint is broken down into 12 weeks, with each week consisting of several different lessons.  Each lesson includes a video along with the lesson notes.  I really like the fact that lesson notes are included because there are definitely times I don't have the attention span to sit through several videos in a row.  That said, the videos are very watchable and Mark and his assistant Aletta keep things very lively and interesting.

The course shows you how to promote affiliate products (specifically Clickbank ones) by creating and promoting your own website.  To show that what he's saying is not all theory, Mark uses examples from a real live website that he's currently making money with.  This website was developed live for during the first version of the course.

The lessons start from the very beginning, from choosing a niche and keyword research to promoting your site using good SEO and pay per click marketing.  Mark shows you how to build sites with both XSitePro (a non-free website builder for internet marketers) and Wordpress.  Since I use Wordpress myself, I am happy with that choice.  I am very impressed by the amount of detail each topic goes into and you can really tell that Mark practices what he preaches.  I particularly liked the SEO sections and the lessons describing how to set up a Newsletter.  Building an email list is extremely valuable and profitable and something I was very interested in learning more about.

Who Is It For?

AffiloBlueprint is really meant for new internet marketers or those who are struggling to make any money with their own sites.  If you are a more seasoned internet marketers, you will probably know some of the concepts already, but there are definitely some things you will pick up as well.  Mark and Aletta do a good job of keeping the pace so that people of all skills levels are able to follow along.

One thing I have to say is that if you are looking for a get rich quick course and expect immediate results, then I suspect that this is will not be the course for you.  I know a lot of people give up too easily if too much hard work is involved, so be careful if you are one of these types of people. To succeed with AffiloBlueprint you are going to have to put in a lot of work, especially in the area of writing articles and building back-links to your site. Mark actually does a nice job of explaining how to outsource much of the work, so that may be an option for you as well.  In terms of results, it will probably take about a month to 6 weeks before you start seeing money rolling in from your efforts.

How Does It Compare To Other Courses?

I am also a member of PPC Kahuna, and there are actually quite a few similarities between the concepts taught by Affilo Blueprint and PPC Kahuna's 14 Day Challenge. You can tell that Mark Ling and Jason Katzenback are from the same school of internet marketing. As its name suggests, PPC Kahuna more geared towards doing things with its own tools and is more PPC oriented. On the other hand Affilo Blueprint is better organized and more beginner friendly. One advantage I see with Affilo Blueprint is that it has been around a little longer and has a more active community. I see a lot of threads in the forums and questions seem to get answered very quickly. Plus there are several helpful staff members to help out, including Mark Ling himself.

So How Much Is It?

AffiloBlueprint 2.0 sells for a one time payment of $197. The course just opened today (April 28th) and will only be available for 5 days before it closes its doors to new members. That means you will need to sign up by May 5th to get in. The first version Affilo Blueprint got rave reviews and was incredibly popular. Although $197 seems like a lot of money, the course is backed by a full 60 day money back guarantee. That means you can try it out, and it doesn't work out for you for whatever reason, then you can ask for your money back. To me, that sounds like a small price to pay to learn how to create sites that are generating $50-500 a week.

Update: Sorry you missed out, but AffiloBlueprint is now closed to new members.

If you are looking for a similar course that is almost as comprehensive, I would recommend taking a look at PPC Kahuna.  Someone actually created this PPC Kahuna Review blog and he actually gives a pretty in-depth look at the course.  Take a look.

It seems pretty expensive for what it is. The thing that alarms me is the words beginners and PPC in the same course - the 2 don't go together PPC is like forex trading you can't learn except by losing money. I've been doing this for about 2 years now and am nowhere near doing PPC - in fact learn how to do SEO right and I don't see how most affiliate marketers need to do PPC. RE his earnings statements a) what is the net income ie after you deduct his PPC costs -earning $1000 by spending $1200 never worked for me and b) what percentage is selling the course to other would be affiliate marketers rather than selling products from his niche sites - because no beginner can compete with the size of list he must have by now.

Hi Lissie, thanks for responding.

I don't think you need to be intimidated by PPC.  That part is at the very end of the course and like every other topic, he goes through it starting from the beginning so people can understand.

I personally think SEO + PPC + building your list is the most powerful combination to make money in affiliate marketing.  To neglect teaching any of the above would be doing your members a disservice.  Even if you personally think PPC is too risky you should at least understand the fundamentals behind it even if you don't decide to use it yourself.

Also, I am not sure I get the comparison of PPC to Forex at all.  PPC is just a form of advertising, and every business has a budget for that.  Sure you can lose money learning PPC, but I just consider it the cost of doing business.  You are neglecting a huge set of eyeballs if you are just relying on SEO.

Which set of eyeballs? I can be #1 in the SERPS for free or I can pay for the sponsored listing via Adwords. I don't do lists because basically I don't flog make money online products on most of my sites which are real world niches

Sure, but are you ranking #1 for every single relevant keyword on your site in Google, MSN and Yahoo? Those are the visitors I am talking about.  All I am saying is that SEO and PPC is not an either or thing.  Plus, a lot of the same principles of good SEO apply to PPC as well, so if you're good at keyword optimizing your sites, you won't have any trouble at all getting good quality scores with Adwords either.  That's half the battle of succeeding with PPC.

By the way, I'm a big fan of Grizz and Court as well.  I read all their stuff too. =)
